Quai’s psychotherapy practice specializes in reducing anxiety, healing trauma and improving relationships.

For folks who are struggling with worry or a lack of satisfaction with their relationships, whether that’s work, family, friends or intimate relationships, Quai understands that can be difficult and how vital it is to work with a competent therapist.

Quai’s therapeutic services assist clients in gaining clarity while safely reducing psychological struggle. Slowing things down and acknowledging discomfort is often not encouraged, yet is exactly what is needed to increase emotional comfort. Many people seek therapy because they may be dreading something, feel overwhelmed or confused. Or they may be doing the same things over and over, which in the moment feel easier, but in the long run prevent them from getting their needs and desires met. Quai assists clients to transform a nebulous or unsettled space to more calmness and lucidity.

Quai’s Therapy Style

Quai’s therapy supports people learning aspects of themselves that are often misunderstood and allows people to find ease. Quai facilitates sessions without judgement and with resonance. The therapy is unique, insightful and respectful. Humor, metaphors and compassion are also part of Quai’s therapy style.

About Me

I’m a licensed clinical social worker with over 10 years of psychotherapy experience and more than 15 years of counseling work. I do this work because I can’t think of anything more fulfilling than being with someone as they discover ways to find more ease in their life. I have post graduate training in trauma informed modalities, integrative treatment, and specialize in anxiety and improving relationships.

I do this work through inquiry based conversation, garnering curiosity and careful listening. I’m an IFS (Internal Family Systems) trained therapist, a modality that is honors the complexities of who we are as human beings. Additionally, I work with body-based, somatic interventions and have extensive training and experience with trauma treatment.

People who receive therapy from me tell me they feel more comfortable talking about themselves than they expected. They often say they feel cared for by how much I retain through time to support them in making new connections and better understanding their struggles with increased self compassion. When someone is looking forward to providing me an update about something they’re working on, or wants to talk more about where they’re struggling I know there is healing possibility in the work.
